Stepping into transformation

2025 was wildly transformative.
The crazy part is that it had no reason to be. Looking back, it was pretty standard. I worked, a lot, crammed my weekends with fun to make up for the long work hours, took a fun ass trip to Playa Del Carmen, and had an incredibly beautiful holiday season with so many fun moments with family and friends. I keep looking back, trying to identify a point when it changed and I really can't put my finger on it. So what made it so different? At some unidentified point I stopped obsessing about the unrealistic expectations I set for my [Virgo] self and stopped choosing to carry so much stress. I don't know when it happened, in fact I believe it was a very slow, very conscious decision from my soul signaling to me that it's okay. It's okay to breathe and enjoy, it’s not always about the end goal, but the journey to it. I can't express how grateful I am for this drastic change.
With all of that being said, stepping into 2026 felt different, and I'm happily leaving behind what no longer serves who I am today.
So, here's what I'm keeping [besides Elliot and Billie].
Unwavering tenacity, enthusiasm, intention, curiosity and joy
Relentless self-care
Investing my time and energy in relationships that are reciprocal.
Balance
More house parties with friends and family
And here are a few things keeping me on track to start the year.
Kiel's Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil and Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream
I'm telling you, these two items have turned my nighttime skin routine into a ritual that I look forward to each evening. Waking up to glowing, hydrated skin is another reason that I love it. Sometimes when life gets busy simple self care items start to feel like a chore, but not with these two products waiting for me every evening.
I've got some major fitness goals this year, and I have to optimize my exercise as much as possible. My job is relatively sedentary and I commute over 12 hours each week. This weight vest helps my daily 10K steps work harder for me.
This olive oil is high-phenolic, meaning it’s made from early-harvest olives and naturally rich in polyphenols - powerful antioxidants known to support inflammation, heart health, and metabolic function. My favorite way to enjoy this is as a morning wellness shot. I mix 1 tablespoon of Kyoord with fresh lemon juice and a pinch of cayenne in a shot glass, and take it first thing in the morning. My morning shot helps me feel satiated throughout the day. It also delivers powerful anti-inflammatory benefits. On top of that, the flavor is genuinely delicious, and it’s grown on a family-owned farm, which makes supporting this small business even better.
